my journey
I barely know anyone in my private and professional environment who has not been confronted with back problems or spinal disk problems sooner or later.
From all those people I learned that besides the pain, it’s principally the anxiety that people suffer from.
You are afraid of the pain, of medical treatments and of your future.
But you also have anxiety that is not obvious.
You are scared of being lonely, getting unable to work or losing your job.
You are scared of the consequences at work and in private relationships.
And I see how many people solve their problems with taking the well-known painkillers and drugs every day for a long time.
I can also see how people are hiding behind their illness.
All of these experiences made me create this website.
I cannot give any medical or therapeutic advices.
But I can report on my beliefs and my experiences as a patient!
I am convinced that...
- a herniated disk is not a dramatic disease
- that it’s only me who is responsible for everything that’s going on with my back
- it’s up to me if I am suffering from my back or if I’ll make something good out of it
- this cannot work without me. No doctor and no therapist in the world can be successful if I’m not willing to help
- if my back becomes the victim of my environment and my life. Whenever my life seems to get out of control my back gives me clear signals and it’s up to me to listen to my body and work on the causes of my problems.
